TBI Moms™

A Ministry of TBI Nation™

Strengthened by Christ. Encouraged by Community.

When your child's brain injury changes everything, God still hasn't left your side.

Whether your child is five years old or fifty years old, a traumatic brain injury changes the lives of the entire family. TBI Moms™ exists to encourage, educate, equip, and support mothers walking one of life's most difficult journeys.

A mother tenderly rests her forehead against her adult son's, who wears a soft protective helmet after a traumatic brain injury, sharing a quiet moment of prayer.
"You are still your child's safe place."
Welcome, mama

Take a deep breath. You have found a safe place.

If your child has experienced a traumatic brain injury, you may feel frightened, confused, overwhelmed, heartbroken, or emotionally exhausted.

Those feelings are completely understandable.

You don't have to know everything today. You simply need to take the next step.

God is already walking beside you.

Right Now

What your child needs most right now

Four gentle reminders for the hardest days.

Pray

Pray for wisdom. Pray for peace. Pray for discernment. Pray for endurance. Pray believing God is still working.

Speak Life

Speak words of hope over your child. Tell them they are loved. Tell them they are not alone. Even if they appear unconscious, continue talking to them — many survivors later remember hearing familiar voices.

Stay Calm

Children and adult survivors often borrow the emotional atmosphere around them. Your peaceful presence may become one of their greatest sources of comfort. Fear spreads. Peace spreads too.

Love Without Conditions

This is not the time to revisit past mistakes, disappointments, or old arguments. Cover your child with unconditional love, patience, grace, mercy, kindness, affection, and encouragement.

"Recovery changes timelines. Love changes people."

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Psalm 46:1

At TBI Moms™, we believe God walks beside families through every stage of recovery.

We believe hope is stronger than despair.

Love is stronger than fear. Grace is stronger than guilt.

And no diagnosis has the final word over God's promises.

Our Prayer for Every Mother

Heavenly Father,

Surround every mother who visits this website with Your peace.

Give her wisdom for every decision.

Strength for every difficult day.

Patience during every setback.

Hope for tomorrow.

Protect her child. Strengthen her family. Provide faithful friends to walk beside them.

Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and faithful in every season.

May every mother who visits TBI Moms™ leave knowing she is loved, supported, and never alone.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

When the Mother Is the Survivor

Heavenly Father,

Some days I miss the woman I used to be.

I miss the energy, the memory, the confidence, and the ability to care for everyone the way I once could.

When my children don't understand why I forget, why I need rest, or why I cannot do everything I used to do, help me explain my brain injury with love and patience.

When I feel afraid about work, finances, or caring for my family, remind me that You are still my Provider.

Forgive me for the times I have judged myself more harshly than You ever would.

Teach me to receive help without shame and to give myself permission to heal.

Lead me to people who will encourage me, understand me, and strengthen my family.

Help my children see not only my struggles, but also my courage.

And every day, remind me that my identity is not found in my injury but in You.

Thank You for never leaving me.

Thank You for walking beside me through every step of this journey.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
